Before Hurricane Sandy I was a typical 19-year-old student at Rutgers. But then came October 29th. I was studying for an exam, waiting out Hurricane Sandy and then I received a phone call. At 11 pm on October 29th, I found out both of my parents had been killed.” The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund was founded in honor of Firefighter Carl V. Bini a member of the FDNY tragically taken during 9/11.  Our mission is to provide aid for those in need within our community and beyond and to memorialize the heroism of our fallen hero for those who so desperately need aid now and in the future. He seems like an old man today though due to a very painful excrutiate ACL. This means that the 2 digits in the middle of the knee are crossed. Due to the sheer strength of Johnson American Bulldogs, he gets up but limps painfully, and only walks on his toes of his left leg. We love him so much and can't stand to see him in so much pain. He is on medication to help, but it seems to have gone beyond what the pain meds can do for him.
