I’m Becky. Founder of Write Raw (#writeraw), creator of #justwrite, author, editor and writing coach.
I spent two years designing this site and mapping out its content. I MADE IT FOR YOU –> The writers who feel stuck, stalled, hampered, unloved, uninspired, not good enough. It is my most sincere hope that you will soak up the innovation on every page and #justwrite.
I am the first person in my family to graduate from college. I earned a BA in Journalism, and used it wisely. Stints as a reporter for two daily newspapers, which included two Presidential Primary races, taught me the value of a well-chosen word. I left journalism in 2006 to play Momma, but instead found myself filling blank pages (hundreds) while the kids napped.
My first book, a collection of short stories, aptly titled I Could Tell You Stories, was released in November 2010. A novella, Say My Name, was released in August 
2012. A new project, temporarily dubbed Don’t Ruin my Life: Crap my kids say, is in the works.
These days, I work one-on-one with writers who want to learn how to dig deep. It’s a 4-week intensive course called Write Raw. And it’ll kick you in the ass like nothing else. Don’t believe me? See for yourself. In addition, Laura Howard and I host a FREE weekly writing prompt, called Just Write, designed to remove obstacles and set your writing mind free.
I remain feisty, brash, unapologetic, and thriving in in the middle of nowhere, New Hampshire.
